Repair Procedures: Removal

Air cleaner assembly and air duct.
(Refer to "AIR CLEANER ")
Battery and battery tray.
(Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ).
Remove the nut (A) from the manual control lever.
Remove the shift cable (B) from the bracket (C) at transaxle side.

Remove the floor console assembly.
(Refer to "FLOOR CONSOLE ")
Remove the air duct (A).

Remove the snap pin (A).

Disconnect the cable eye end (B) from the shift lever.
Disconnect the cable socket (C) from the shift lever.

Remove the airbag module.
(Refer to "AIRBAG MODULE ")
Disconnect the shift cable retainer (B) after removing the mounting nut (A).
Remove the shift cable by pulling it toward the interior.
