Monitor GDS Data
- Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
- Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
- Monitor the 'ON-OFF' condition of Brake lamp switch on the "Current Data" menu of the GDS.
Specification :Push the Brake pedal - Brake Lamp Switch 'ON'
- Is parameter displayed within specifications?
YES
- Fault is intermittent caused by poor connection. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary, and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
NO
- Go to next step.
