Repair Procedures: Removal
- Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the drive belt.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "DRIVE BELT ")
- Disconnect the alternator connector (A) and the cable (B) from alternator "B" terminal.
Alternator "B" terminal tightening nut:
9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)
- Remove the alternator (B) after loosening the mounting bolts (A).
Alternator mounting bolt:
49.0 - 63.7 N.m (5.0 - 6.5 kgf.m, 36.2 - 47.0 lb-ft)
