Component Location: AHLS
The AHLS controls the lighting direction of headlamps according to driving environments and load status. It consists of the AHLS ECU with a built-in height sensor and an actuator installed at the headlamp. The height sensor calculates the change in vehicle load based on the changes in height and delivers the result to the control unit. The sensor is comprised of a rotor/stator, PCB coil, and a sensor lever and recognizes the movement angle of the lever by detecting the magnetic field around the stator created by the rotor's rotation.
