Component Inspection
- Connect a GDS to DLC (Data Link Cable).
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Actuate the "EGR Valve" using the GDS.
(Check the EGR valve duty sensor data during forced actuation. Check operation sound.)
- Does the actuation work properly? Is the sensor output normal?
Specification: Refer to MONITORING CURRENT DATA
YES
- Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, ending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
NO
- Replace the EGR Valve with an usable one and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace the EGR Valve and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
CAUTION:
The learnt value must be reset after replacing the EGR valve. Otherwise, problems regarding performance and exhaust may occur until the automatic learning takes place after component replacement.
