Repair Procedures: Removal
- Remove the air cleaner assembly and air duct.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")
- Remove the battery and battery tray.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY ")
- Loosen the bolt and then separate the engine wiring (A).
- Remove the snap pin (A) and then disconnect the shift cable (B) and the select cable (C) from the control shaft complete.
- Remove the shift lever knob & boots (A) pull both of it up.
- Remove the floor console assembly.
(Refer to Body - "FLOOR CONSOLE ")
- Remove the snap pin (A) and then separate the select cable (B).
- Separate the cable socket (A) from the shift lever, after release the lock.
- Loosen the bolts and then disconnect the shift lever (A).
- Remove the shift cable (A) and shift lever (B) by spreading the clips on both sides of the cable end.
- Loosen the nuts (A) and then removing the retainer (B).
- Remove the control cable assembly (A) from the vehicle.
