Repair Procedures: Replacement

- Disconnect the battery (-) terminal.WARNING:
- After disconnect the battery (-) terminal, wait at least 3 minutes.
- Remove the crash pad lower panel.
(Refer to Body - "CRASH PAD LOWER PANEL ")
- Remove the KAB (A), after removing the bolts.
Tightening torque:
7.8-11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb-ft)
- Disconnect the KAB connector (A).
- To install, reverse removal procedure.
Information
- After installing the front seat belt retractor, check that the air bag warning indicator illuminates for about 6 seconds when the ignition is ON and then goes out.
- Make sure the connector is plugged in properly.
