Monitor DTC Status

  1. Plug GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
  3. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)," and click "DTC Status" to check DTC information.
  4. Read the "DTC State" parameter.
  5. Clear recorded DTC using GDS.
  6. Ignition switch OFF ↔ Ignition switch ON 2~3 times and Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)" mode and monitor "DTC Status" parameter.
  7. Is the DTC State "Present?"

    "PRESENT" 

    PCM/TCM's ROM or DATA is changed by reprogram illegally.

    Substitute with a known-good PCM/TCM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace PCM/TCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    "HISTORY" 

    PCM/TCM unit memory was not cleared after repair. Clear the DTC and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
