Throttle Position (TP) Sensor

  1. Turn ignition on. Backprobe wiring harness side of TP sensor connector and measure sensor output voltage. See Fig 1 . Voltage should be 0.4-0.6 volt with throttle fully closed.
  2. If voltage is not correct, slightly loosen TP sensor mounting bolts. Rotate sensor body until voltage reads 0.4-0.6 volt. Tighten mounting bolts, and recheck voltage reading.
