Throttle Position (TP) Sensor
Turn ignition off. Disconnect TP sensor harness connector. Using a DVOM, measure resistance between terminals "b" and "c" of TP sensor. See Fig 1 . Resistance should be as follows:
- For Q45, resistance should be approximately 700 ohms with throttle closed. As throttle is opened, resistance should gradually increase up to 5000 ohms with throttle completely open.
If sensor does not respond as indicated, loosen TP sensor mounting screws. Adjust TP sensor to obtain correct resistance. If correct resistance cannot be obtained, replace TP sensor.
