Diagnostic Procedure 4
- Turn ignition off. Unplug 8-pin harness connector from control unit located in left side of trunk. Turn ignition on. Connect DVOM between ground and 6-pin harness connector terminal No. 5. See WIRING DIAGRAM . Battery voltage should be present. If battery voltage is not present, repair circuit between control unit and trunk lid opener. If battery voltage is present, go to next step.
- Unplug trunk lid opener actuator harness connector. Apply positive battery voltage to trunk opener actuator terminal No. 1 and ground to actuator terminal No. 2. If actuator operates, diagnose multi-remote control system. See MULTI-REMOTE CONTROL SYSTEM article.
