Operation Check

  1. If CRUISE indicator light flashes during ASCD operation, stop vehicle and turn ASCD main switch off. Turn ASCD main switch on again. If CRUISE indicator light flashes, perform DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE 5. If CRUISE indicator light does not flash, go to next step.
  2. Turn ASCD main switch off. Drive vehicle and turn ASCD main switch back on. Push SET/COAST switch and note CRUISE indicator light. If CRUISE indicator light flashes, go to next step. If CRUISE indicator light does not flash, go to step 4).
  3. Perform DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE 6. Repair as necessary. If system tests okay, perform DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE 7. Repair as necessary. If system tests okay, replace ASCD control unit.
  4. Slowly depress brake pedal for at least 5 seconds. Observe CRUISE indicator light. If CRUISE indicator light flashes, perform DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE 4. If CRUISE indicator light does not flash, system is okay. Recheck system operation.
