Test 2: ASCD Main Switch Check
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect ASCD MAIN switch harness connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage between terminal No. 1 (Orange/Blue wire) and terminal No. 4 (Black wire) at ASCD MAIN switch harness connector. See Fig 1
. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, check the following and repair as necessary:
- Faulty fuse No. 11 (7.5-amp) in instrument panel fuse box.
- Open or short in wiring harness between fuse and ASCD MAIN switch.
- Faulty ASCD MAIN switch ground circuit.
- Check ASCD MAIN switch. See SWITCHES
under COMPONENT TESTS. If ASCD MAIN switch is defective, replace ASCD MAIN switch. If ASCD MAIN switch is okay, perform TEST 3: ASCD HOLD RELAY CIRCUIT CHECK
