Test 1: Power & Ground Circuit Check

1. Preliminary Check
   
   Turn ignition switch to ON position. Turn ASCD MAIN switch on. Ensure CRUISE indicator illuminates. If indicator illuminates, go to next step. If indicator does not illuminate, perform TEST 2: ASCD HOLD UNIT CHECK  .
2. Check ASCD Control Unit Power Supply
   
   Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect ASCD control unit harness connector. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Turn ASCD MAIN switch on. Measure voltage between ground and ASCD control unit harness connector terminal No. 4 (Brown/Yellow wire). See Fig 1 . If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, perform TEST 2: ASCD HOLD UNIT CHECK  .
3. Check ASCD Control Unit Ground Circuit
   
   Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Check for continuity between ground and ASCD control unit harness connector terminal No. 3 (Black wire). If continuity exists, power and ground circuits are okay at this time. If continuity does not exist, repair open in Black wire.
