Gearshift Linkage: Q45

Detents should be felt in each range as selector lever moves from "P" to "1" position. If detents cannot be felt or pointer is improperly aligned, adjust gearshift linkage. Place selector lever in "P" position and loosen lock nuts on linkage. See Fig 1 .
Tighten lock nut "X" until it touches trunnion, pulling selector lever toward "R" position side without pushing button. Back off lock nut "X" one turn and tighten lock nut "Y" to 13-17 ft. lbs. (18-23 N.m). Move selector lever from "P" position to "1" position. Ensure selector lever moves smoothly and pointer aligns properly.
