Door Switch Check

  1. CHECK DOOR SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL 

    Check voltage between smart entrance control unit terminals 28, 29 or 40 and ground.

    Front LH door 29 Ground Open 0
    Closed Approx. 5
    Front RH door 40 Ground Open 0
    Closed Approx. 5
    Rear and back doors 28 Ground Open 0
    Closed Approx. 5

    Refer to WIRING DIAGRAM  .

    OK or NG 

    1. OK Door switch is OK.
    2. NG GO TO 2.
  2. CHECK DOOR SWITCH 
    1. Disconnect door switch connector.
    2. Check the following.

      Continuity between front door switch harness connector B9 (LH) or B68 (RH) terminals 1 and 2.

      Continuity between back door switch harness connector D208 terminals 1 and 2.

      Continuity between rear door switch harness connector B18 (LH) or B71 (RH) terminal 1 and ground.

    DOOR SWITCH CONTINUITY SPECIFICATIONS

    Back door 1 - 2 Closed No
    Open Yes
    Rear doors 1 - Ground Closed No
    Open Yes

    OK or NG 

    1. OK Check the following. 

      Door switch ground circuit (Front or back door) or door switch ground condition Harness for open or short between smart entrance control unit and door switch

    2. NG Replace door switch.
