The Smart Entrance Control Unit (SECU) controls warning chime, rear window defogger timer, power door locks, multi-remote control system, theft warning system, interior room (courtesy light) timer, electric sunroof timer, power window timer and battery saver. See Fig 1 .

The battery saver feature automatically turns off interior room light and/or map light when ignition is off. If interior lights are on (i.e., open door) or if map light switch is accidentally left on for more than 10 minutes.
