Inspection/Vehicle Speed Signal

Preform VDC/TCS/ABS control unit self-diagnosis. Refer to

OK or NG 

1. OK >> GO TO 2.
2. NG >> Check VDC/TCS/ABS control unit system.

Preform combination meter self-diagnosis mode. Refer to METER/GAUGES OPERATION, ODO/TRIP METER AND A/T INDICATOR  .

OK or NG 

1. OK >> GO TO 4.
2. NG >> Replace unified meter control unit (sub).

1. Jack-up the drive wheels.
2. Maintain the conditions below.
   • Vehicle speed is more than 40 km/h (25 MPH).
3. Check output signal between combination meter harness connector M41 terminal 17 (OR/L), 18 (PU/W) and ground. (Use "SIMPLE OSCILLOSCOPE" in "SUB MODE" with CONSULT-II.)

   1. 17-ground :Refer to TERMINALS AND REFERENCE VALUE FOR COMBINATION METER 
   2. 18-ground :Refer to TERMINALS AND REFERENCE VALUE FOR COMBINATION METER 

OK or NG 

1. OK >> inspection end.
2. NG >> Replace combination meter.
