DTC Confirmation Procedure

NOTE: If DTC confirmation procedure has been previously conducted, always turn ignition switch to OFF position and wait at least 10 seconds before conducting the next test.
  1. Turn ignition switch to ON position.
  2. Select DATA MONITOR mode using either CONSULT-II or GST.
  3. Check that COOLAN TEM/S is more than 50°F (10°C). If COOLAN TEM/S is more than 50°F (10°C), test results will be okay. If COOLAN TEM/S is not more than 50°F (10°C), go to next step.
  4. Start engine and run it for 65 minutes at idle speed. If COOLAN TEM/S increases to more than 50°F (10°C) within 65 minutes, stop engine because test result will be okay.
  5. If a DTC is detected, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . If DTC is not detected, system is okay at this time.
