Data Monitor

Operation Procedure

  1. Touch "DATA MONITOR" on "SELECT DIAG MODE" screen.
  2. Touch either "MAIN SIGNALS", "CAN DIAG SUPPORT MNTR" or "SELECTION FROM MENU" on the "DATA MONITOR" screen.

  3. Touch "START".
  4. When "SELECTION FROM MENU" is selected, touch individual items to be monitored. When "MAIN SIGNALS" is selected, main items will be monitored.
  5. Touch "RECORD" while monitoring, then the status of the monitored item can be recorded. To stop recording, touch "STOP".

NOTE: Any monitored item that does not match the vehicle being diagnosed is deleted from the display automatically.

*1: Monitor keeps indicating "OFF" when break warning lamp is on by the parking brake operation or low break fluid level.

*2: CAN status indicates the condition of the CAN communication judged by each signal input.

After returning to normal condition, every time ignition switch is turned OFF from ON, the indication will change like "39" to "38" to "37"..."1". And if a malfunction is detected again, CAN status indicates "40". (Though returning to the normal condition, "0" is not indicated. To reset, select and press the "ERASE" on the "SELF-DIAGNOSIS" screen.)
