Possible Causes

Malfunction is detected when:

1. A high voltage from MAF sensor is sent to ECM under light load driving condition.
2. A low voltage from MAF sensor is sent to ECM under heavy load driving condition.

Possible causes are:

• Defective harness or connectors.
• MAF sensor circuit open or shorted.
• Defective MAF sensor.
• Intake air leaks (malfunction "B" only).
