Fuel Tank: Installation

Install in the reverse order of removal, paying attention to the following:

• Surely clamp fuel hoses and insert fuel filler hose to 1.38 in. (35 mm). Insert the other hoses to 0.98 in. (25 mm).
• Be sure hose clamp is not placed on swelled area of fuel tube.
• Tighten each clamp of the filler hose so that the remaining length for tightening becomes 0.31-0.47 in. (8-12 mm) on fuel tank side and 0.224-0.382 in. (5.7-9.7 mm) on fuel filler tube side.
• To connect the quick connector. See FUEL PUMP MODULE .

1. Install in the reverse order of removal.
2. Push the mounting band pin to the vehicle side securely.
3. Referring to the mating marks marked during removal, install the fuel tubes and the EVAP tubes and fix to the clamps securely.
CAUTION: Use genuine filler tube mounting bolts or equivalent. Make sure to tighten them to the specified torque.
4. Before fixing the fuel tank, temporarily install the filler tube.
5. Connect the quick connector.
