DTC Confirmation Test (Using CONSULT-II)
NOTE:
Before proceeding, ensure battery voltage is more than 11 volts with ignition on. If DTC confirmation procedure had been previously run, turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds before continuing.
- Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature. Turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds. Start engine.
- Select CLSD THL/P SW in DATA MONITOR mode on CONSULT-II. If CLSD THL/P SW is available, go to next step. If CLSD THL/P SW is not available, go to step 4.
- Check signal under following conditions, see CHECKING CLOSED THROTTLE POSITION SWITCH SIGNAL table. If result is NG, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . If result is OK, go to next step.CHECKING CLOSED THROTTLE POSITION SWITCH SIGNAL
Throttle Valve Position Signal Indication Idle Position ON Slightly Open OFF - Select DATA MONITOR mode on CONSULT-II. Drive vehicle for at least 5 consecutive seconds under following conditions:
- THRTL POS SEN more than 2.5 volts.
- VHCL SPEED SE 3 MPH or more.
- Driving vehicle uphill will help maintain driving conditions required for this test.
