Automatic locking of all doors is controlled by BCM. Four operating modes are available for selection and programming system. See AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKS  in DESCRIPTION & OPERATION for description of modes. System operates in Mode 1 when shipped from factory. To change operating modes of automatic door locks, enter vehicle and close all doors. On models with manual transaxle, place gear selector in REVERSE and engage park brake. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Press and hold door lock switch in LOCK position on any power door lock switch for 10 seconds. Count number of times chime sounds. Number of chimes indicates operating mode. Repeat process until automatic door lock mode is set to desired position. To exit programming, turn ignition switch to any position except RUN. On models with manual transaxle, shifting out of REVERSE or releasing park brake will exit BCM from programming mode.
