Weather strip Detection Switch System Check

  1. CHECK WEATHER STRIP DETECTION SWITCH SIGNAL 

    Check voltage between auto trunk control unit connector and ground.

    OK or NG 

    1. OK: Weather strip detection switch is OK.
    2. NG: GO TO 2.

  2. CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY 
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect auto trunk control unit and auto trunk motor connector.
    3. Check continuity between auto trunk control unit connector B110 terminal 10 and auto trunk motor connector B109 terminal 1.
      1. 10 (Y/B) - 1 (Y/B): Continuity should exist. 
    4. Check continuity between auto trunk control unit connector B110 terminal 10 and ground.
      1. 10 (Y/B) - Ground: Continuity should not exist. 

    OK or NG 

    1. OK: GO TO 3.
    2. NG: Repair or replace harness between auto trunk control unit and auto trunk motor.

  3. CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT 

    Check continuity between trunk motor connector B109 terminal 4 and ground.

    1. 4 (B) - Ground: Continuity should exist. 

    OK or NG 

    1. OK: GO TO 4.
    2. NG: Repair or replace harness.

  4. CHECK WEATHERSTRIP DETECTION SWITCH 

    Check continuity between auto trunk motor terminals 1 and 4.

    OK or NG 

    1. OK: Replace auto trunk control unit.
    2. NG: Replace auto trunk motor.
