Inspection Procedure

- CHECK FOR DTC
- Clear the DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
- Recheck for DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR
).
OK: DTC B1244 is not output.
NG: Go to step 2
OK: USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )
- READ VALUE OF TECHSTREAM (AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR)
- Operate the Techstream according to the display and select "DATA LIST" or "Data List".
NG: Go to step 3
OK: REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
- CHECK MAIN BODY ECU (LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR VOLTAGE)
- Disconnect the J3 ECU connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage
MAIN BODY ECU (LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR VOLTAGE)Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition J3-20 (CLTB) - J3-18 (CLTE) Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V Ignition switch OFF Below 1 V
NG: REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR)
- Disconnect the J3 ECU connector.
- Disconnect the K19 sensor connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: REPLACE AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR (see REMOVAL )
