Front Axle Hub: Disassembly

NOTE: Do not allow foreign matter, etc. to contact the ABS rotor bearing.
  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL ADJUSTING NUT (for 2WD) 
    1. Using SST and a hammer, release the staked part of the adjusting nut.

      SST 09930-00010

    2. Install a nut to the front axle hub, and fix it in a vise.
    3. Using SST and the L-type handle, remove the front wheel adjusting nut.

      SST: 09602-60010

  2. REMOVE FRONT AXLE WITH ABS ROTOR BEARING ASSEMBLY 
    1. Gently fix the front axle hub in a vise.
      NOTE: Do not damage the threads of the hub bolts.

    2. Using SST, remove the bearing.

      SST: 09950-40011 (09951-04020) (09952-04010) (09953-04020) (09954-04010) (09955-04061) (09957-04010) (09958-04011) 

      SST: 09950-60010 (09951-00550) 

    3. If part of the bearing remains in the front axle hub, use SST to remove it.

      SST: 09950-00020 

      SST: 09950-00030

  3. REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB OIL SEAL 
    1. Using a screwdriver, pry the oil seal.
