Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK KEY SLOT INDICATOR OUTPUT SIGNAL

    Check voltage between key slot harness connector and ground.

    VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

    Remove Intelligent Key from key slot ON 0

    Is the inspection result normal? 

    YES: Go to  5.

    NO: Go to 2.

  2. CHECK KEY SLOT POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect key slot connector.
    3. Check voltage between key slot harness connector and ground.

      Is the inspection result normal? 

      YES: Go to 3.

      NO-1: Check 10 A fuse [No. 6 and 9 located in the fuse block (J/B)].

      NO-2: Check harness for open or short between key slot and fuse.

  3. CHECK KEY SLOT GROUND CIRCUIT

    Check continuity between key slot harness connector and ground.

    CONTINUITY SPECIFICATION

    Is the inspection result normal? 

    YES: Go to 4.

    NO: Repair or replace key slot ground circuit.

  4. CHECK KEY SLOT CIRCUIT
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect BCM connector.
    3. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and key slot harness connector.
      CONTINUITY SPECIFICATION

    4. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.
      CONTINUITY SPECIFICATION

      BCM Ground Continuity
      Connector Terminal
      M122 92 Not existed

      Is the inspection result normal? 

      YES: Replace key slot. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".

      NO: Repair or replace harness.

  5. CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

    Refer to "INTERMITTENT INCIDENT ".
