Component Function Check

CHECK ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE (EOT) SENSOR

Turn ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect EOT sensor harness connector.
Remove EOT sensor. Refer to "2WD: DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY " (2WD models), or "AWD: DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY " (AWD models).

Check resistance between EOT sensor terminals by heating with hot water as shown in the figure below.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES: GO TO 2.

NO: Proceed to "DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE ".

CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Check intermittent incident. Refer to "INTERMITTENT INCIDENT ".

Is the inspection result normal?

YES: INSPECTION END

NO: Proceed to "DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE ".
