Disassembly and Assembly: Assembly

  1. Replace O-ring and then install air breather.
    CAUTION: Never reuse O-ring.
  2. Using drift [SST: KV325H0780 (TechMate No. -) (DAIMLER tool No. 711 589 19 15 00)] install the differential side oil seal to transaxle case.
    CAUTION: Never reuse differential side oil seal.
  3. Install ball bearing.
  4. Install snap ring.
  5. Install oil ducts and oil funnel.
    CAUTION:
    • Never reuse oil ducts.
    • Never reuse oil funnel.
  6. Install bearings.
    CAUTION: Never reuse bearings.
  7. Install compression spring.
  8. Install removal and installation tool [SST: KV315H0470 (TechMate No. -) (DAIMLER tool No. 724 589 00 59 00)] to transaxle case.
  9. Insert park pawl actuator with removal and installation tool to transaxle case.
  10. Using bolt (M5) install lock pin to park pawl actuator.
  11. Install pin to park pawl actuator.
    CAUTION: Never reuse pin.
  12. Install snap ring to park pawl actuator.
    CAUTION: Never reuse snap ring.
  13. Install cover.
    CAUTION: Never reuse cover.
  14. Install permanent magnet.
    CAUTION: Never reuse permanent magnet.
  15. Install park pawl lift solenoid.
    CAUTION: Never reuse bolts.
  16. Install lock pawl pin, coil spring, bearing bracket, and lock pawl as a unit.
  17. Install bearing bracket mounting bolt with washer.
    CAUTION: Never reuse bearing bracket mounting bolt.
  18. Install removal and installation tool [SST: KV315H0480 (TechMate No. -) (DAIMLER tool No. 724 589 00 63 00)] to transaxle case.
  19. Insert oil pump with removal and installation tool to transaxle case.
  20. Install sensor rotor.
  21. Install puller [SST: KV315H0510 (TechMate No. -) (DAIMLER tool No. 724 589 01 33 00)] to sensor rotor.
  22. Install sensor rotor nut.
  23. Install cover.
