Component Testing: THERMOSENSOR

  1. Remove air cleaner cover and place a thermocouple type thermometer on thermosensor. Replace air cleaner cover.
  2. With thermosensor cool, start engine and ensure hot air control valve is closed to outside air. When valve begins to move, read thermometer. It should read 100-111°F (38-44°C). If not, replace thermosensor.
