DAMAGED FUEL PUMP WIRING
YEAR(S): 1986-89
MANUFACTURER: Isuzu
MODEL(S): Trooper
DATE OF ISSUE: March, 1995
ISSUE & TIP
Damaged fuel pump wiring may cause 1986-89 Isuzu Troopers to cut out while driving or cause a no-start. The customer may complain that the vehicle shuts off, then will not restart.
Check the wires on top of the fuel pump. These wires get corroded over time and may break. Use a mirror to see the wires on top of the fuel tank. If the wires are damaged, the tank must be removed to R & R the pump.
