Reed Valve

- Disconnect vacuum hose from diaphragm and connect vacuum pump to diaphragm. Disconnect inlet and outlet hoses.
- Apply 7.9 in. Hg to diaphragm. Blow air into inlet pipe. Air should flow from outlet pipe.
- Connect inlet and outlet hoses. Start engine. With 7.9 in. Hg still applied to diaphragm, check for bubbling sound from reed valve. Replace reed valve if not performing as specified.
