Code 22 - TPS Volts Low

Code No. 22 will set if the TPS signal voltage is below .2 volts. Possible causes for code No. 22 could be a faulty TPS, wiring or terminals or ECM.

1. Confirms that code No. 22 exists.
2. This step simulates conditions for a code No. 21. If ECM recognizes high signal voltage and sets code No. 21, ECM and wiring circuits are okay.
3. This checks that reference signal exists from ECM. Ensure connector is removed prior to checking circuit wiring to prevent damage to ECM.
