Power Mirror Switch Circuit

  1. Disconnect switch connector. Using an ohmmeter, connect negative lead to switch connector (harness side) terminal No. 3. SeeFig 1 . With ohmmeter positive lead, check for continuity at terminals No. 1, 2, 4 and 5. If continuity does not exist at any terminals, repair Black/White wire. If continuity does not exist at any one terminal, motor in mirror or circuit itself is faulty.
  2. Using a DVOM, check voltage between ground and switch connector terminal No. 7, with ignition switch in ACC position. If battery voltage is not present, check AUDIO/MIRROR fuse.
  3. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between switch connector terminal No. 3 and ground. If continuity exists, repair short to ground in Black/White wire.
  4. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between switch connector terminal No. 8 and chassis ground. If continuity is not present, repair Black wire.
