Fuel Gauge Sending Unit

  1. Install fuel gauge sending unit on test bench. Connect ohmmeter to fuel gauge sending unit terminals No. 1 and 2. SeeFig 1 .

  2. As float is moved, resistance reading should change smoothly. See FUEL GAUGE SENDING UNIT RESISTANCE table. Connect ohmmeter to fuel gauge sending unit terminals No. 1 and 4. Resistance should be 13.6 ohms. If resistance readings are not as specified, replace sending unit.
