Hydraulic System Bleeding

CAUTION: DO NOT hold steering wheel at full lock position for more than 5 seconds. Pump damage will result.
  1. Fill reservoir. Start engine and allow to idle. Wait 2-3 minutes and refill reservoir. With engine still idling, turn steering wheel lock-to-lock several times (3-4 times), or until buzzing noise is no longer heard.
  2. Center steering wheel and turn engine off. Upon turning engine off, fluid in reservoir should NOT rise. After one minute, add fluid to top off reservoir (if needed). If fluid rises, more air is in system. Repeat bleeding procedure.
