Power Steering Pump: Reassembly
To assemble, reverse disassembly procedure. Install rotor, cam ring and vane respectively. Ensure tiny square Black mark on rotor faces upward. Align cam ring holes with body slots. Turn side of cam ring with clearance around dowel, facing upward. Ensure rounded end of vane matches cam ring inner surface. Tighten end cover bolt and hose connector fitting to 29-36 ft. lbs. (39-49 N.m).
To reassemble, reverse disassembly procedure. Install NEW seals and housing "O" ring. Ensure rounded end of vane matches cam ring inner surface. Install pulley using hydraulic press. Install pump bolts and fitting. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table.
