Bench Testing: Stator

  1. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between stator leads. Ohmmeter should read about .07 ohm at 68°F (20°C). If continuity does not exist between leads, replace stator.
  2. Connect ohmmeter between stator core and each stator lead. If continuity exists, stator is grounded and must be replaced.
