Cranking Test

Connect voltmeter and ammeter to battery. See Fig 1 . Ensure battery is fully charged. Disable ignition. Crank engine and observe meters.
Ensure cranking voltage and current draw are within manufacturer specifications. See CRANKING VOLTAGE & CURRENT DRAW table. If readings are not as specified, repair or replace starter.
