Power Mirror Switch Circuit
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect mirror switch harness connector. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between mirror switch connector (harness side) terminal No. 1 and chassis ground. SeeFig 1
. If continuity is present, repair White wire between mirror switch and power mirrors for short to ground.
- Check for continuity between harness connector terminals No. 2 and 3. If no continuity is present, illumination circuit is faulty. Repair as necessary.
- Using a voltmeter, check voltage between chassis ground and terminal No. 4 of switch harness connector with ignition switch in ACC position. If battery voltage is not present, check AUDIO fuse and wiring. Repair as necessary.
- Turn ignition off. Using an ohmmeter, connect negative lead to harness connector terminal No. 1. With ohmmeter positive lead, check for continuity at terminals No. 5, 7, 8 and 10. If continuity is not present at any terminal, repair open in White wire between mirror switch and power mirrors. If continuity is not present at only one terminal, motor in power mirror or circuit itself is faulty. Repair as necessary.
