Set/Resume Switch
WARNING:
Deactivate air bag system before performing any service operation. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM
article. DO NOT
apply electrical power to any component on steering column without first deactivating air bag system. Air bag may deploy.
NOTE:
On models with theft protection system, obtain radio security code from vehicle owner, before disconnecting battery cable.
Disable air bag system. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM article. Carefully remove SET/RESUME switch cover, by gently prying at switch cover in several locations. Remove retaining screws and SET/RESUME switch. SeeFig 1 . Check continuity between specified Set/Resume switch terminals, with switch in appropriate position. See switch test table in illustration. If continuity is not as specified, replace switch.
