Abs Function Test
NOTE:
BRAKE warning light should remain illuminated if parking brake is applied with ignition on.
- Turn ignition on and note operation of ANTI-LOCK indicator light and BRAKE warning light on instrument cluster. ANTI-LOCK indicator light and BRAKE warning light should illuminate for 2 seconds, and then turn off.
- If ANTI-LOCK indicator light remains illuminated, check for stored Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES under SELF-DIAGNOSTICS. If no DTCs are stored and ANTI-LOCK indicator light and/or BRAKE warning light do not function properly, perform appropriate circuit test according to symptom. See CIRCUIT TEST DIRECTORY table.
