Folding Switch Circuit Test

1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect folding switch connector. Turn ignition to ACC position. Using a voltmeter, check for voltage at terminal No. 6 (Orange/Green wire) of harness connector. See Fig 1 . If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, check AUDIO/MIRROR (10-amp) fuse of interior fuse box. If fuse is okay, locate and repair open in Orange/Green wire.
2. Turn ignition off. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between terminal No. 4 (Gray/Green wire) and terminal No. 7 (Gray/Blue wire). See Fig 1 . If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, check for an open in Gray/Green wire or Gray/Blue wire between connector and both mirror assemblies. If both circuits are okay, check for faulty mirror assembly. Repair or replace as necessary.
3. Check for continuity to ground at terminal No. 5. Check for continuity to ground at terminal No. 8. See Fig 1 . If continuity does not exist at either or both terminals, locate and repair open in Black wire of related terminal.
