All Windows Inoperative: Amigo

  1. Check BACKUP/TURN (15-amp) fuse, located in dash fuse box. If fuse is blown, replace fuse and recheck system operation. If fuse is okay, go to next step.
  2. Use DVOM to check continuity of POWER WINDOW (30-amp) circuit breaker, located in dash fuse box. If circuit breaker is okay, go to next step. If circuit breaker is bad, replace breaker and recheck system operation.
  3. Ensure ground connection B-8 is secure. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS . Repair if necessary. If ground connection is okay, go to next step.
  4. Remove power window relay from dash fuse box. Use DVOM and measure voltage between ground and power window relay cavity terminal No. 2 (Green/White wire). If battery voltage is indicated, go to step  6. If battery voltage is not indicated, go to next step.
  5. Repair open in Green/White wire between power window relay and power window circuit breaker. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . After repairs, recheck system operation.
  6. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Use DVOM and measure voltage between ground and power window relay cavity terminal No. 3 (White/Green wire). If battery voltage is indicated, go to step  8. If battery voltage is not indicated, go to next step.
  7. Repair open in White/Green wire between power window relay and ELEC IG (15-amp) fuse. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . After repairs, recheck system operation.
  8. Use DVOM and check for continuity between power window relay cavity terminal No. 4 and ground B-8 (Black wire). If continuity is indicated, replace power window relay. If continuity is not indicated, go to next step.
  9. Repair open in Black wire between power window relay and ground B-8. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . After repairs, recheck system operation.
