Diagnostic Procedure

  1. Perform diagnostic system check. See BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Go to next step.
  2. Use scan tool to select BODY CONTROL MODULE, DISPLAY DTCS. Momentarily turn ignition switch to CRANK position. Release ignition switch to ON. DO NOT start vehicle. If DTC B3031 is present, go to next step. If DTC B3031 is not present, go to step  4 .
  3. Use scan tool to display DTCs. If DTC B2947, B2948, B2957, B2958 or B3033 is present, go to appropriate diagnostic test procedure. If none of the listed DTCs are present, go to next step.
  4. Use scan tool to clear DTCs. Turn ignition off. Start vehicle. Select BODY CONTROL MODULE, DISPLAY DTCS. If DTC B3031 is present, go back to step  3 .
