Right Window Inoperative

  1. Remove right side window switch and unplug connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using DVOM, measure voltage between right window switch connector terminals "J" (Light Blue wire) and "L" (Tan wire). See Figure . Operate right window from driver's side master switch assembly to UP and DOWN positions. If battery voltage is present in both positions, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present in both positions, locate and repair open circuit in either Light Blue or Tan wire. If both circuits are okay, replace driver's side master switch assembly. See WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Reconnect right window switch connector. Disconnect right side window regulator. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using DVOM, measure voltage between right window regulator motor connector terminals "A" (Brown wire) and "B" (Dark Blue wire). Operate right window from driver's side master switch assembly to UP and DOWN positions. If battery voltage is present in both positions, check right window regulator motor for poor terminal contact. If connection is okay, replace right window regulator motor. See WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If battery voltage is not present in both positions, go to next step.
  3. Using DVOM, check for open circuits in Dark Blue or Brown wires between right window regulator motor and right window switch. Repair affected circuit as necessary. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If both circuits are okay, check right window switch for poor terminal contact. If connection is okay, replace right window switch. See WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
