DTC 61: Left Front Missing Sensor Signal
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect EHCU 16-pin harness connector. Measure resistance between EHCU 16-pin harness connector terminals No. 2 (Green wire) and No. 10 (Blue wire). If resistance is 2.0-2.8 k/ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not 2.0-2.8 k/ohms, go to step 3.
- Check for play in wheel speed sensor or sensor rotor. Repair as necessary. After repairs, go to step 6. If no problem is found, go to step 4.
- Measure resistance of left front wheel speed sensor. If resistance is 2.0-2.8 k/ohms, repair harness between wheel speed sensor and EHCU. If resistance is not 2.0-2.8 k/ohms, replace wheel speed sensor. After repairs, go to step 6.
- Check for powdered iron sticking to sensor components. Repair as necessary. After repairs, go to step 6. If sensor components are okay, go to next step.
- Check left front wheel speed sensor output. See TEST C-1/C-2: FRONT SENSOR OUTPUT INSPECTION or TEST TC-1: SENSOR OUTPUT INSPECTION under COMPONENT TESTS. Repair as necessary. If wheel speed sensor checks okay, check for faulty harness between wheel speed sensor and EHCU. If no problem is found, replace EHCU. After repairs, go to next step.
- Reconnect all components. Ensure all component are properly installed. Clear DTCs. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING. Verify system operation. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
