Circuit/System Testing
- Turn OFF the ignition.
- Disconnect the PCM.
- Test the affected IC circuit for a high resistance, an open, a short to ground and for a short to voltage.
- If a fault is found, repair the circuit as needed.
- Connect the PCM.
- Exchange the affected ignition coil with the ignition coil of a good cylinder.
- Start the engine and observe the scan tool.
- If the DTC transfers with the suspect ignition coil, replace as needed.
- If the DTC does not transfer with the suspect ignition coil, replace the PCM.
