Removal Procedure

Disable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
Remove the trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement .
Remove the theft deterrent module wiring harness from the steering column harness.
Disconnect the electrical connector.

Pull the theft deterrent module (2) away from the lock cylinder housing (1).
